Bugbrooke to Nobottle

Distance 5 miles

Description Anticlockwise

All Saints Church is situated on the corner of School Lane and High Street Harpole.

Walk south down the High Street and then right into Park Lane to join a footpath at the end of the lane.

Continue in a southerly direction, crossing fence line at a stile, and then through an open hedge line to reach a metal gate in the right hand corner of the field, this gate gives access onto the A45 dual carriageway.

Cross road and continue in a southerly direction to the remains of Harpole Mill.     After crossing the mill pond and the River Nene take the right hand path to join the Nene Way long distance path where it passes under the M1 motorway.

Continue on the Nene Way path until you have passed Bugbrooke Mill, a landmark that cannot be missed due to its grain siloís.  The path follows the perimeter of the mill site, first following the water course and then in a westerly direction.    After approximately half a mile the route leaves the Nene Way turning left, now in a southerly direction, to a gate and access to a green lane.  Follow this lane to emerge on the Kislingbury road in Bugbrooke

Turn right on the Kislingbury road and then right again into Church Lane to arrive at St Michaelís Church.

Bugbrooke has general provision stores, two Public Houses and accommodation.    The village has road and path links to the Grand Union Canal, many of the paths are suitable for disabled person carriers and young families.
